And even better is the absolutely exceptional Ceylon yellow sapphire we have used in this ring. It is simply to die for! It has the most wonderful light lemon-banana yellow color which is exactly the color of a fancy yellow diamond. Sapphires don't always sparkle but when the gem material is very good and with a superior cut, the gem will be very lively, just like the sapphire in this ring. The sapphire is also very rare since it is completed natural and unheated. Less than 1% of sapphires used in jewelry have that honor. The setting features baguette diamonds on either side which complement the faceting of the sapphire. We have set the sapphire in a luxurious 18k white gold setting, and the basket is adorned with tiny round diamonds and milgrain edging. The four sets of double prongs hold the stone securely! The white gold setting shows off just what fine quality the baguette and larger round diamonds are. The band is finished with milgrain edging and hand engraved detail on the sides.
