Certificates are generally issued on purchases of $699 and over. If a certificate is included, it is indicated on the item detailed description page just below the item price. You may also request a certificate for any item at the time of purchase if one is not indicated for your item (use the Comments section during checkout).

Our Certificate of Authenticity certifies that the jewelry you have purchased is 100% genuine and accurately described.

We certify that our jewelry has been crafted in accordance with recognized jewelry industry quality standards. We further certify that the materials (metals, diamonds, and gemstones) are accurately described and stated in accordance with the highest standards of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (we are members).

Each Certificate of Authenticity includes at least one picture of the item and verifies the gemstone type, weight and clarity, diamond weight and quality, and the metal type (e.g., 14k gold, platinum) and weight.

Our certificates, along with your receipt, can be submitted to your insurance company as proof of purchase. Please note that, in most cases, insurance companies will reimburse you for your purchase price, not a higher appraised value, and also have the right to purchase a replacement item themselves on your behalf. Instead we source the gemstones from around the world ourselves and then manufacture our jewelry in the Los Angeles jewelry district - the largest jewelry manufacturing district in the United States. This enables us to produce our jewelry as inexpensively as possible while having access to the best professional jewelry craftsmen and allows us to maintain tight control over our quality.

  • Minimal or No advertising. Advertising usually makes up a very significant portion of a companies expenses. Those Google ads that you see can be EXTREMELY expensive. We have done almost no advertising since we went online in 2000.

  • No Store. We are a family run internet only company. We do not have the many expenses of running a store such as rent, security, displays, sales people, and insurance.
  • We Love Cost Cutting. We constantly look for ways to cut our operational costs. From business cards to electricity. In the latter example, we installed solar panels years ago which cover 100% of our electrical needs. They have already paid for themselves and now our electricity is free! 90 Day Repair Warranty

All jewelry purchased from is covered by our limited 90 day repair warranty. The 90 day warranty period begins the day you receive your original purchase. Our 90 day repair warranty covers each item for defects in manufacturing or loosening of gemstones or diamonds. We will repair any defective item at no charge and also provide free return shipping as well (international orders will be charged $40 for shipping).

Layaway Plans- Interest Free!

Many of our items are one-of-a-kind. Use an interest free layaway plan to reserve the item before it sells out and lock in the current price - for up to a year! This is especially important with today's rapidly rising gold, platinum, diamond, gemstone and labor prices.

MySapphireSource has a variety of layaway options: 3 monthly payments, 6 monthly payments or 12 monthly payments. If you wish to place an online order with the layaway option, simply select the desired option at the bottom of the order checkout form and also check acceptance of the layaway policy.

For rings ordered in the stock size, the ring will ship the same or next business day . You can send your ring back to us once for free sizing and free return shipping for up to one month after you receive your new ring. Additionally, nearly all of our rings can also be sized by your local jeweler .

For rings ordered with sizing, please allow 1-2 weeks for shipment if you ordered ring sizing (i.e., a non-stock ring size). If you need a ring sized and need a faster turnaround, just let us know and we can likely accommodate your request.

30 Day Return Policy

If for any reason you or your gift recipient are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return the purchase for a full refund or exchange for 30 days after package delivery. It's that simple!

The Return Process

  • Please contact us at or Toll Free: 866-432-4936 to let us know that you wish to return an item. We will immediately provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number which you must include with your item.
  • Depending on your location, we will provide you with the appropriate return shipping address when you contact us.
  • All items must be returned in the original, undamaged condition with the tamper resistant tag attached (if applicable) within 1 week of receiving the RMA number. Items sold as a pair must be returned together (e.g., chains and pendants). Items returned without the tamper resistant tag will not be accepted. Items which are scratched or damaged will be subject to a repair fee. We cannot accept any item which has been modified by another party for return.
  • Packages must be mailed to us within 1 week of receiving your RMA Number by insured, priority mail or better. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and assumes all risks for loss or damage in transit.
  • Items returned without a RMA having been issued, items returned without the original jewelry boxes, or items not postmarked within 7 days of receiving the RMA number are subject to a $25 restocking fee. Items returned post-marked after 14 days of receiving your RMA will not be accepted and returned. Goods shall not be considered accepted for return until we have received, inspected and approved the returned item at our place of business. You will be notified by email when your return has been processed.
Refund Amount

  • The amount refunded will be the total price paid less any shipping upgrade fees, non-refundable amounts (for those who had us size your ring prior to shipment), and/or penalties (as described above), if applicable.
  • For special and custom orders, the non-refundable deposit cannot be refunded, even if the order has been cancelled prior to shipping.
  • All refunds will be paid by the original payment method when possible.
