Reminiscent of Princess Diana's engagement ring, this gorgeous cornflower blue Ceylon sapphire ring will take her breath away. The sapphire is a very wearable 6x8mm oval of 1.78 carats. It has a wonderful luster and sparkle to it and the 14 full cut round diamonds that surround it only add to its impact and brilliance. The sapphire has an exceptional cut and is better than eye clean. The color is a beautiful cornflower blue and we think that this particular shade of blue is one of the most attractive sapphire colors since it is neither too light nor too dark, and the color is beautiful whether in dim light or bright light. The diamonds in the ring weigh just over 1/2 carat and are approximately 2mm each. This is a very nice size, not too flashy but truly very sparkly and eye catching. The band is plain and is styled in the same way that Princess Diana's ring is. The ring is all about the fabulous sapphire and the incredible diamond halo. The profile of the ring (how far it sits off the finger) is about 1/4 inch, making this extremely comfortable and wearable and perfect for daily wear.
