It's a toss up, which do we love more, the natural untreated purple sapphire or the white gold setting? First let's start with the cushion cut purple sapphire. It's a fine quality Ceylon sapphire that has plenty of pink flashes. If the unique color wasn't special enough, the sapphire is also completely natural, unheated and untreated. The color you see is the color created naturally deep inside the Earth by the Earth's natural heat and pressure. Sapphires, especially untreated sapphires, are often found with visible inclusions but this particular gem is eye clean (no visible inclusions). The setting that we have chosen for the sapphire is just as special. Full of just over 1/2 carat of fine white diamonds, the setting features antique style details from the filigree design below the center sapphire to the milgrain edging along the diamond channels. This is a ring that looks spectacular from every angle and we can promise that you will never get tired admiring this ring on your finger!
If you are considering this as an engagement ring, you'll be happy to know that the sides of the ring have been designed to be flat so that a straight band will sit flush against the ring. You could even get a second band for a truly unique and eye catching set. See our matching band - item 102922-Pur2.
