Now this is a very very special ring! First we love Ceylon sapphires because they generally have a slightly lighter tone than sapphires from other origins and they tend to be very lively and eye catching. This particular sapphire fits the bill perfectly and the fabulous radiant cutting of the sapphire makes it even more so! It is very unusual to find a sapphire over 3 carats that has been radiant cut. When we first saw this sapphire, we fell in love. The color is a light-medium cornflower blue with a hint of periwinkle. Truly one of the most dazzling sapphires we have ever offered. And we can't neglect to mention the amazing clarity of this sapphire, something that is also extremely rare for sapphires of this size. The sapphire is eye clean and nearly 100% loupe clean as well! The diamond halo setting is simple and elegant and is the perfect backdrop to showcase such a special sapphire. The diamonds are of fine near colorless/better than eye clean quality and the weight is just under 1/2 carat. The diamonds offer that extra touch of dazzle and sparkle, but not too much, as the sapphire still reigns supreme in this ring.
